Formative Assessments
- Gallery Walk: Made to get students up and moving while using photography to ask questions and get students thinking about a particular topic.
- Think, Puzzle, Explore: Thinking routine made for student inquiry, activating prior knowledge, and gathering information students have questions about, research and/or learn.
- Endangered Envelopes: A game made to get students thinking about how many different types of endangered marine life there is. Students think about which animals are endangered and what makes them endangered.
- Oral Discussions: During the five lessons of this unit students will have oral discussions which will guide the direction of further learning and assessments.
- KWL Chart: Chart used to inquire what students already know, what they want to know and what they learned about endangered sea turtles.
- Fliers: Students use knowledge gained from the previous lessons and knowledge gained from research to create fliers that will inform people about marine life and their threats.
